Great set for the price. I have gone through the receiver The whole top end was taken apart and gone through. Receiver comes with 60Hz, 1,8,29 and 80. Receiver keypad is from another unit the circuit board and LCD traded out and the keypads painted and whole thing sealed with laquer to clean up screen and seal surface. Set is As is.
It is used and shows the usual signs of field use. LCD was returned from a client with a couple black spots on the LCD, they only affect the representation of the antennae settings and the screen has a weaker LCD on the inches for depth and on some of the numbers first key, see the video. I tested the unit to make sure they had not caused any damage and it located well at 1,8 and 29 direct connect and inducing 29 on box or with clamp. The signal is not as strong as I would like for the receiver on clamp or inducing. but the track I use to test with my electrical lines does not pick up well at 1 or 8Khz as the PGE lines are old and the cocentric rings on the primary line to the transformer is old and corroded. This is why I test the units here to help troublehoot any issues you might have in the field.
I checked depth and it shows within range at several inches, 3' and 6'. I cannot guarantee the receiver beyond the above mentioned areas. 80Khz on the receiver does not seem to pick up well, this might be my test track, this might be the receiver. I tested the transmitter with my Vivax and the signal appears to be good from transmitter. Unit is as is and this in reflected in the price.
These are older sets, but they are better built than the newer 900 series they had a thicker shell with less weak points.
Transmitter is a older 75t set, but these are bullet proof and it has a place to hold the leads and keep the set dry no matter the weather. They are superior in durability to the newer 950 and 970 series, because their case is much stronger and they seal completely from the elements. Set induces fair, you have to position the transmitter standing up usually for the best result. Power setting on the set should be increased when you are induces or using the clamp on 80. Transmitter was taken apart and everthing checked and resealed.
The leads are new, I can make these and other leads for your units from scratch.
Clamp has has the end and the cable replaced with shrink wrapped.
Transmitter/ Receiver come with batteries. To save on your shipping and the planet. I also pack with assorted items I recycle to keep them protected and to cut down on waste.

I ship Fed Ex due to having the best experience overall with them. I can ship UPS or USPS just let me know, I know depending on your area and if its rural the different providers handle delivery better than others.
