This is a very lovely vintage piece with some rare and beautiful gemstones.
These gemstones test as Amethyst with my SmartPro Gem Eye Gemstone Tester however my equipment can not distinguish between African Amethyst, South American Amethyst nor can it discern between Treated or Untreated.
I am calling these gemstones out as Untreated Uruguayan Amethyst because I know what Untreated Uruguayan Amethyst looks like. It is one of very few Amethysts in the Jewelry World that is Not Heat treated and the color is undeniably South American and NOT African.
These 6mm x 4mm Oval Cuts have a Unique and Beautiful Color. And although they have excellent clarity, they do not have the clarity that you usually find in Heat Treated South American Amethyst but that stands as testament to their un-treated state.
The color is very exotic and I would call this piece Rare.
