The program is 67 years old and looks better then most did leaving the building that night! This era of program was very tough to keep in nice shape.
The Nationals became the 76ers and this Warrior group headed for Golden State. These two teams are like a Philadelphia Basketball History Book.
Nats included - Johnny Kerr, Dolph Schayes, Al Bianchi, Paul Seymour, Ed Conklin, Earl Lloyd, Bob Harrison and others. The Warriors included - Villanova Star Paul Arzin, Broomall's Own Neil Johnston, Joe Grabowski, George Dempsey, Ernie Beck, Jack George, Larry Costello, and Walter Davis. More Hall of Famers in this game then you will see in a month these days!
The great Dave Zinkoff is profiled inside. That mic is forever retired in Philadelphia and hangs in the rafters with Hal Greer, Wilt, Billy Cunningham, Dr J, Bobby Jones, Charles Barkley, Allen Iverson and MOSES.
