Carte de Visite of Civil War Union General GEN. WINFIELD SCOTT Seated CDV. Caption reads: “Entered according to act of Congress in the year 1862, by M.B. Brady, in the Clerk’s offices in the District Court of the U.S. for the So. District of New York.” “Gen. Scott” written on reverse side in a fine hand. Backside copy reads: “Published by E. Anthony 501 Broadway, N.Y. from Photographic Negative in Brady’s National Portrait Gallery.” Brady referenced is Civil War photographer Mathew Brady. Stiff cardboard. Overall in very good condition for its age, but a bit soiled/worn. (see photos).
