***By placing an order with me you are verifying that you have read the ENTIRE listing and are accepting the risks - which are many - of ordering hatching eggs and shipping them which includes the possibility of NONE HATCHING ***

I will send you a 6 pack of my Darkest Brown, Darkest Green, Dark Brown AND Bloomy, Dark Green AND Bloomy (priotitize these 4 types), or any egg color with a heavy bloom or interesting bloom such as ombre or speckles that are available at time of order. Roosters covering these eggs in my flock have hatched from a dark green, milk chocolate brown or dark marans type (7/8) egg.  Please Note that Marans eggs diminish in color over time so the eggs received may not be AS dark as those in the photos - but have the potential to be darker than the egg they hatch from due to genetics - I will send you the darkest eggs I have available as stated above.

Chicks hatching from these eggs have the highest likelihood of laying dark Avacado / Sage / Pistachio / Moss eggs.  If they don't get the blue egg gene that causes the green eggs they still have a high chance of laying dark brown marans type "chocolate" eggs (the resulting chick will likely NOT be a full blooded Marans - although it is possible as I do have full blood BBS Marans hens and Roos out there ... )

The eggs will be marked by color and the possible genetic pairing as best I know.  If the eggs says F1 that means that the HEN THAT LAID IT is a first generation Olive egger - the chick inside would be either a second generation (F2) meaning that the dad of the chick inside has a blue egg laying genetics or Back Cross (BC1) meaning the chick inside was breed back to similar genetics that created its mother - thus increasing the likelihood of concentrating the color producing genetics - this results in darker eggs.

I don't separate my roos to increase fertility so the chance of having Blue / Green / or dark brown genetics on the father's side is equal on any particular egg.  The only tan egg laying genetics in my flock comes from a light Sussex rooster in one coop that is in the program to bring some mass back into the layer flock. Many of my colored laying hens are Mosaic that hatched from a green egg so having fibro / mosaic / zombie chickens that lay color is also possible.

ALL CHICKS HATCHING FROM THESE EGGS HAVE A HIGH PROBABILITY OF LAYING DARK EGGS BUT IT IS NOT GUARANTEED - if you want to guarantee that you will have the darkest eggs you need to find a reputable breeder that keeps dark laying hens and proven roosters together for the best chance. My groups are mixed and these are the very same eggs I hatch to keep my rainbow layers laying dark … but it’s NOT a guarantee. I hatch hundreds of eggs a year to produce hens that lay darker than their parents … genetics are not guaranteed.   This is why the eggs are expensive. Hens that lay these eggs are scarce and even if you can find someone that would sell you one they bring $80-$150 per bird.

If extras are available I will send them but FEB-APR and SEPT -OCT are my busiest months and they may not be available to send.

I DO NOT guarantee any kind of hatch rate on shipped eggs.  Hatching 3 out of 6 is a GOOD result on shipped hatching eggs.  Please do not leave me negative feedback as a result of a failed hatch.  I cannot control your success unfortunately.

DARK EGGS ARE HARDER TO HATCH - humidity requirements are different among other things - please educate yourself on hatching dark eggs.

Please make sure you are comfortable hatching dark eggs.  I will work with you if you have a hatch failure please message me.  I cannot help the way they are handled in transport and that can negatively impact their ability to thrive.  On my end I take them directly to the UPS distribution center or drop to an UPS access point (so the package stays out of the weather) to minimize the amount of time they spend on a truck.  You can pick up locally if you are in the area (NW MO).  Please consider the weather when ordering and plan to be home to receive the delivered package... eggs can and will freeze or cook sitting on a porch all day and I cannot assume the risk of replacement for bad handling.  If you receive broken eggs upon arrival let me know.  I try to always send extras to account for any losses during shipping as available.

The reason these eggs  are limited and expensive is that they have taken 4-5 years of selective breeding to achieve and hundreds of chicks hatched to get to this point.  Plus they are super cool chickens ;) very friendly!  We absolutely love ours and hope you enjoy them as well!

I do have other sets of eggs available for less money that come from the same flock - please see our other listings / store!

If you are looking for more eggs we can combine orders but I do not typically have enough eggs to ship more than a dozen of this listing at a time (2 buys)... If you buy multiple listings (2 or more) of this type of egg I reserve the right to ship them on different days as my hens simply do not lay enough of these beautiful eggs day to day to send 18 or 20 at a time.  I want to send the freshest eggs available and trying to accumulate that amount leaves too many sitting on the counter for days waiting to achieve those numbers.  I do offer other listing if you want to combine with our regular rainbow laying eggs that is definitely a possibility.  I am very active on EBay messenger so if you have any questions please contact me there.

This listing ships UPS by default - If you want USPS you MUST change the carrier at time of purchase. I honestly prefer UPS but their prices are higher - as the buyer it is your call. USPS offers hold for pickup and I am happy to have the postmaster call you for pick up if that is your preference - please indicate this in the buyers note (this option is not available with UPS).  If you live in the boondocks and pick UPS but the cost to ship far exceeds the amount charged to ship I reserve the right to ship the package through USPS to stay in line with the monies collected (this rarely happens but part of Texas UPS up charges horrendously due to their driving requirements).

KNOW THAT SOME STATES ARE STARTING TO RESTRICT MOVEMENT OF HATCHING EGGS / POULTRY DUE TO A RESURGENCE OF AVIAN INFLUENZA - MY FLOCK IS NPIP CERTIFIED AND EGGS SHIP WITH THE APPROPRIATE PAPERWORK BUT SOME STATES ARE INCREASING REQUIREMENTS DUE TO THIS THREAT - IF YOUR STATE IS ONE OF THOSE I WILL BE IN TOUCH AS SHIPPING TIMES ARE EXTENDED DUE TO NEW PAPERWORK AND IMPORT PERMIT REQUIREMENTS.

IF YOU HAVE BOUGHT EGGS OFF EBAY BEFORE AND DID NOT RECEIVE THE APPROPRIATE PAPER WORK KNOW THAT THIS IS ILLEGAL IF THE EGGS CROSSED STATE LINES (NPIP IS REQUIRED FOR ANY EGGS CROSSING STATE LINES).  THE FINES ARE HUGE AND THE STATE CAN CONFISCATE YOUR FLOCK.

I DO NOT MARK MY PACKAGES AS FRAGILE - as I feel that makes them a bigger target for mishandling especially with the USPS - I will mark as FRAGILE on request only - please include it in the buyers note.  I do put arrows on the box to indicate which side is "UP"
