_You are bidding on a 2nd to 1st century BCE cast-leaded-bronze sword pommel of a lobed form with rounded peripheries, a dramatically tapered top portion that perhaps held the end of the handle, and a slightly concave bottom section for an attachment bulb. Both sides of the pommel are decorated with four recessed cavities into which four commensurately sized copper buttons were inserted.
