This was removed from my
75,000 mile 2003 SL55 AMG as I switched over to a coilover setup. The ABC system was
operating fine when removed and would maintain height even when parked for over a month+
- Note the 'quick disconnect' tab remains connected as I couldn't get it off.
- The lower ball joint will need replaced as the boot was torn when removed, these can be purchased direct from Mercedes cheaply and installed within 30 minutes with the right tools.
Hard to find these original Mercedes AMG struts from low mileage SL55s that had frequent hyraulic flushes (with the correct Pentosin CHF 11s & filter change). This is also the same part number for fitment on the SL65 (2005, 2006) & the SL600 (2004, 2005, 2006).
