1987 Press Photo Beech Aircraft Corporation's third Starship prototype

This is an original press photo. The Starship designed by Burt Rutan is expected to be the business plane of the future. First Flight-- Beech Aircraft Corporation's third Starship prototype is seen during its first flight January 5 near Wichita, Kansas. Two earlier Starships have already accumulated well over 300 hours in the flight test program. The third Starship completes the fleet of aircraft that will be used to achieve FAA certification, which is expected later this year. First customer delivers of Starship are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 1988. Beech Aircraft Corporation is a subsidiary of Raytheon Company. Photo measures 10 x 8inches.
