Superb Pair Of Antique French Girandoles.

Each generously adorned with multi-tiered, hand-cut coffin-shaped & almond drops and
hand-blown, plump, pear-shaped glass drops - in clear, amethyst and smoked glass -
and draped with elegant swags and chains of clear,
 hand-blown old lampwork glass beads.

All are hand-strung on brass wire and mounted on candelabra well cast in brass with
two scrolling arms and two further tiers of branches. They probably date to the
first quarter of the 20th century.

Rich and opulent. The glass chains and drops glitter jewel-like,
set off against the sparkling metal of the candelabra. With their relatively shallow
side profiles they are perfect for side tables or mantels.
Both look magnificent when lit.

Currently for candles only, though they have been drilled for cable & switch
in the back of the bases and could easily be wired for electricity
by someone qualified to do so.
