This is a very nice, hand painted half bushel basket with a lid that is painted with tole painting.
The basket measures 14.5 by 9.5 inches and has a metal handle with a wood handle. The lid opens on either side and has a leather strap on each side as well as leather hinges. The basket does have a slightly rounded bottom so it does not sit totally flat.
The basket is in very good vintage condition. There is no doubt some dust/dirt from age and some paint on the inside of the basket.
