Up for bids is this one of the finest desktop scanners available today: the Nikon Super Coolscan 8000 ED (also known as the LS-8000).
The Coolscan 8000 carries the same optical resolution as the Coolscan 9000, but at a much lower price. The 9000 scans a bit faster, but if you can wait a touch longer for your scans, you can save a boatload of cash.

CONDITION
As you can see from the photos, the scanner is in good cosmetic condition. The casing has a few scuffs that are purely cosmetic. Missing one of the feet, yet it still stays level
The scanner was power up and started to run through its self test, then flashed rapidly. No further testing was done. Being sold as is, for parts or repair.
