Mac was a dominant hitter throughout his career. He led MLB in HRs 5x, 583 Career HRs which is 11th All Time, 1987 AL Rookie of the Year, 2x World Series Champion, 12x All Star, 3x Silver Slugger, Gold Glove, etc. We can save the conversation about how McGwire belongs in the Hall of Fame for another day. Sportswriter voting needs to go. Leave it to the former players.
