Vintage (late 1950s) Hofner “President” Guitar (No. 2827), with Hard Case
You're very welcome to come and try it, and appreciate it.

Please see photographs, rather than me trying to write a detailed Description.
(The first photo is of me playing it, in September 2015, at our Golden Wedding party 😊)

VERY reluctant sale, owing to arthritis in my left wrist *SOB*.
I bought it second-hand in the late 1960s, and have loved it ever since!

I found a website describing the ‘evolution’ of the President, placing this model mid-to-late 1950s, particularly with the design of the headstock, and the “Compensator” tailpiece.
For its age, I think it’s in lovely condition – although it needs a sympathetic clean!
Inside the body is a hand-written label, showing “President” and serial number 2827 (see 6th photo).

Other bits and pieces include:
• Hard case – a little the worse for wear: the trim missing from across the join; some of the sponge lining has disappeared; and the handle is missing, but replaced with a shoulder strap
• Leather strap
• Lead, and odds and ends, e.g. strings, a capo, books on guitar chords

Please note that I am also selling a guitar stand, and a boom microphone stand (with microphone) - please see separate listings.

If you need to, please ask for any further details, additional photos, etc.

Payment via eBay, bank transfer, or cash on collection.
Personal collection only - we are about 5 miles north up the A217 from J8 of the M25.
(I could deliver it all, a reasonable distance, for 25p / mile for the round trip, plus tolls.)

About us
We are Ann and Derek, an old married couple, trying to “de-clutter”, to reduce the eventual burden on our family.
We have two eBay accounts: *anntique*, where we try to sell our antique and collectable items; and DerekTheTortoise, where we offer items from around the house, garden and garage.
We try to be as accurate and honest as we can in our Descriptions, working on the principle of “Do as you would be done by”; we will sometimes make mistakes . . . We are always happy to answer questions.
As far as possible, we use recycled packaging materials, such as cereal boxes, supermarket boxes and bubble-wrap, screwed-up freebie newspapers, and so on.
And we tend to find the most economical method of shipping, be it Royal Mail or a courier; if we find we have over-charged significantly, we will offer a partial refund.
We generally wait until we have received feedback from our Buyer before posting our own; that way we can reflect the level of success of the transaction.
