The watch comes fitted on a generic new black suede strap with a crowned but aftermarket buckle, just to complete the look and style.

This Tudor Oysterdate reference 7962 was produced around the same time as Rolex's rare Veriflat Oyster reference 6512. Rolex produced the 6512 only with gold cases and with the in house mechanical caliber 1000, while Tudor, being the more affordable option, used steel cases and the third party and more affordable ETA 2409 caliber.

This Oyster case was at its time the thinnest ever produced by Rolex, measuring just 8.5mm. To obtain this thin profile, Rolex engineered this special recessed case back, not adding thickness, and allowing the movement to sit flat on it.

A great vintage piece, fantastic conditions, perfect unisex size, lot of character and pure understated class !
