Commemorative publication for the 55th anniversary of Ultraman and the 50th anniversary of
Ultraman's return! Tracing the origins of the design of those popular monsters.

The "70s Tsuburaya Monster Respect Verification: Glorious Monster Kingdom, Crazy Design History" (interview and writing by Goro Yingitani),
which was serialized in the special effects magazine "Spaceship" for five years starting in 2016, will be completed in "Spaceship vol. 174" to be
released on October 1, 2021. This long-awaited book will be published in this good year,
the 55th anniversary of Ultraman and the 50th anniversary of the return of Ultraman. The popular series of interviews with the late Mr. Senkatsu Ikeya and other monster designers to explore the origins of monster design from "Ultraman: The Return of Ultraman" to "Ultraman 80" have been added to and reorganized for the book version.
With the cooperation of all concerned, as many monster design drawings as possible, including the first drafts that have been discovered, are included in the book.
This is a collection of highly documented design drawings.
