On October 15, 1981-Evil Dead was released and has ever been known of since-as a masterpiece of horror, cult classic, and immortalized in pop culture as it lands in the top five greatest horror films of all time.

Stephen King’s rave reviews sparked a fire for New Line Cinema to secure distribution, launching a $90,000 budget film, Evil Dead grossed $2.4 million in the United States and between $2.7 and $29.4 million worldwide. Both early and later critical reception were universally positive; in the years since its release, the film has developed a reputation as one of the most significant cult films, cited among the greatest horror films of all time and one of the most successful independent films.

Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Bruce Campbell’s careers launched and The Evil Dead franchise grew.

Here’s something cool: Don Campbell, brother of Bruce, worked on this film. And Army Of Darkness. You know what else? He stole the keys to the kingdom!! (And the original Boomstick (pictured by yours truly)

About the keys: they are cast in pewter with great care from the original set from the film, by craftsman Stephen Diruggiero from Don’s one and only set with great care, packaged nicely , and very limited-as only 100 were made. I don’t even have a copy, and I hang out with Don all the time. Not cool. Maybe I should buy them.

This set comes with very well crafted reproduction skeleton pewter keys, shrink wrapped (you can open them and swing them around your finger), a plastic storage box, and hand signed certificate of authenticity by Steve Diruggiero and Don Campbell. This set is # 7 of 100 cast.
