Cute nursery ware mug by Keele Street Pottery but without the backstamp. Impressed "Made in England". Has painters' marks for both the black and the gold so maybe a sample, or possibly made during the changeover from Keele Street Pottery to Staffordshire Potteries? Not sure.
Featuring Sooty and Sweep from the children's puppet tv show, with an early version of the images of both. In this case, Sweep is driving a train and Sooty is the station master.
