Description

As a person who experienced the Battle of Okinawa, a researcher, and a former governor of Okinawa Prefecture, I have collected 170 U.S. military photographs and illustrations myself. A visual version that reveals the full story and reality of the Battle of Okinawa

Masahide Ota, the former governor of Okinawa Prefecture, participated in the Battle of Okinawa as a member of the Iron Blood Kinno Shihan Corps. I swore that if I narrowly escaped death and survived, I would uncover the reality of this war and how the people were driven out. For this reason, he has been visiting the U.S. National Archives and collecting photographs and materials from the Battle of Okinawa taken by U.S. military news outlets.

69 years after the end of the war, the tragedy of the Battle of Okinawa, which must never be forgotten, is passed on to the next generation with valuable photographs and illustrations from the time.
