This little device is very well made. While it allows infinity focus with your Leica M lens mounted onto your Leica SL camera, it has a helicoid with extension up to 5mm, which allows you to pull closer the minimum focus and effectively converts your regular lens into a macro.

Leica does not have any macro lens, so this is the adapter which can effectively convert your regular M lens into sort of a macro. For instance, with this adapter a 35mm M lens may achieve focus distance from infinity down to 0.2 meters (0.7m is the standard minimum focus distance). It works with all M lenses with various macro effects.
