Hard to find heavily modified sas/para Bergen, this has had the below mods done during its service life:

X3 pouches on front

Front pouch moved to lid

Plce zips fitted on sides so plce pockets can be added (standard pouches remain)

Black and sand camo applied.

All buckles changed to fastex type

X2 plce side pockets with bungee rope on outside

The above mods were what is now classed as a hills Bergen favoured by Uksf this would have been done I would think by a unit tailor, certainly very hard to find kit like this now.

The base Bergen is dated 1975 making it a very early Bergen and as such has the plastic d rings that secure frame to Bergen, these have cracked and need replacing (easy enough job)
