paper wraps (1835-1849), orange cloth with gilt lettering and pictorial decoration
to upper cover (1850-53). Page edges untrimmed. By Rigdum Funnidos, Gent. Adorned
with numerous illustrations by George Cruickshank. Folding frontispiece for
almanacks from 1849-53. All volumes are complete with text and plates but volumes
1842-45 lack spine and a loose collection of plates and text. Almanack for 1835
and 1836 worn with loss to spine, with some sections coming loose but intact,
otherwise good condition. Almanack for 1837, 38 and 39 worn and dust soiled but
in good condition. Almanack for 1840 worn and dust soiled with loss to spine
and binding coming loose, previous owner’s name in ink to upper cover, but good
condition. Almanack for 1841 covers intact but all sections loose inside the
covers, previous owner’s name in ink to upper cover, but good condition. Almanacks
for 1842, 43, 44 lack spines and contents is lose with covers, previous owner’s
name in ink to cover of 1844, but complete. Almanacks for 1845 and 1846 lack most
of spine and contents is lose with covers, previous owner’s name in ink to cover
of 1844, but complete. Almanack for 1847 covers intact but all sections loose
inside the covers, very dust soiled, but good condition. Almanacks for 1848-53,
worn and dust soiled but good condition. Volumes presented in bespoke solander
boxes, mimicking quarter blue leather over blue cloth bound books with gilt
lettering and bands, and five raised bands to spine. Boxes are in good
condition but faded to spine and edge with some scuffing and small loss to
leather.
