This unique, hand carved, antique pendant / charm dates from the Georgian era and is made of hand carved, solid, carnelian. The crucifix is fitted with a more recent 9ct yellow gold suspension ring.

The crucifix measures 1.7cms x 1.3cms.

There are no hallmarks, but the suspension ring tests as solid 9ct yellow gold.

This antique pendant / charm is around 150 - 200 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing light signs of age / general wear, consistent with age, in the form of a couple of small edge chips. The carnelian has a glossy, polished, surface finish. The pendant can fit on a fine / medium thickness chain as it is, or a further suspension ring could be added if the preference is to fit it to a thicker chain / bracelet. The suspension ring has not been soldered closed.
