Undated but likely to be late 1800s or early 1900s.
The Landsdowne Poets.
Very attractive boards – have some marks.
Gilt leaf edges all round.
There is a damaged presentation plate on the inside front
cover – in the name of Flora Mary Spinks (or Spink) from Leeds and District
Prize Scheme Association.
Some writing and rubbing out on the half title page and the
page opposite – see 6th photo.
There are a few places where dried leaves used as page marks
have caused foxing/browning. The worst example is page 36/37 – see 12th photo.
Otherwise the book is clean.
It is solidly bound with no missing, detached or loose
pages.
There are a number of b&w plates.
This is a lovely old book that would grace any library or
bookshelf.
