For sale is my matching numbers 1948 Indian Chief. Title is in hand.

This Chief had been upgraded with a hydraulic front end from a Harley-Davidson Panhead. This front end rides extremely smoothly and handles very well. This fork is similar to the one on the 1950s Indian chiefs. As far as I can tell no modifications were done to use this front end.

The motor runs and rides very well. This has been a one kick bike for me. I have retimed the motor, tuned the carburetor, adjusted the points, replaced the condenser and coil, changed the oil, and done some light rewiring. This Chief is now ready for many miles.

As far as I can tell everything is real Indian minus the front end, tail light and the home made chrome generator belt cover. Even the handlebars are correct 48 chief handlebars. 

The motorcycle is located in San Diego California. I have an affordable shipper if needed.
