Skyman #2 CGC 3.5 (Columbia 1942) RARE Golden Age WWII Germ Warfare 1/10 Scarce

Book is over 80 years old - hard to come by in any condition...  From 1942, peak of activity around the war, conserving metal / paper, etc.  Super rare - "Skyman #2" from the short run of the character's lead title (was featured in Big Shot Comics, etc.).  Wild cover - stopping the enemy in the midst of their germ warfare efforts - destroying bottles of anthrax, typhus, etc...  Seen lots of war-related covers, this is a first.   

Amazing looking book for its age.  Could use a clean / press...  Nice colors, lots of pop.  One of just 10 total CGC graded copies (only 4 total public sales in the last several years at any grade).  I've never seen another copy.  Heritage, known for listing rare Golden Age books only shows 4 total listings in the last ~20 years.  A rare, super-cool WW2 themed book.

This book was not cleaned or pressed before submitting. 

 

I will make a note and take pics on the rare occasion I post a slab with a crack or break.  Otherwise the slabs are nice = (minor scuffs, typical with age or shipping, CGC/CBCS “allowable” stuff like newton rings, weld seams, scuffs from shipping etc)…. to flawless.  Happy to pull a book and inspect, take additional pics, etc-just ask!
