Antique
vintage 1920's white border RPPC real photo advertising postcard for The Home of Betty-Lou Cake in New Orleans, Louisiana - "Baked Last Nite" - "A Souvenir of the Old South in Vieux Carre Tins". The bakery, known for its fruitcake, was started in NOLA by John W. Reisner, George E. Pereira and A.H. Carlock in 1926, and eventually had locations in Houston, TX and Nashville, TN. According to the articles pictured (not included) the address was 1200 St. Thomas Street, so I am assuming that is the location in the image, but I'm not positive. Unmailed and in
fair condition, with corner bumps & wear/silvering/scattered light creases & bends/edge wear/spots, stains & smudges/tanning/general wear. See photos for condition. Shipped in a rigid mailer with tracking in the U.S. These items come from my
clean, smoke-free home but may have musty or smoky odors from the time
before they came into my possession. I do my best to air out and
deodorize the items I sell, but if you are sensitive to these smells do
not bid on my auctions. *~*~*~*NOTE*~*~*~* Due to extreme weather, increased activity and
funding challenges the United States Postal Service is overwhelmed.
MAIL HAS BEEN DELAYED. Please be patient if your item does not reach its
destination within the expected time frame. I ship 1-3 days after
payment is received, so if your item is slow to arrive, send me a
message to let me know >>>BEFORE<<< filing a case with
eBay. ***I will combine shipping for multiple auction wins. If you are
bidding on more than one item please do not pay until the auctions have
ended; I will send you a combined invoice so you don't get overcharged
by eBay's system.*** Please check my listings for vintage photographs,
fruit crate labels, rare books, advertising, ephemera, interesting old
objects, antique & vintage buttons & beads, decals, Victorian
advertising trade cards and real photo, undivided-back, divided-back,
pre-linen, linen, white border, holiday and chrome postcards. I use
recycled packaging whenever possible to reduce waste. I do as much
research as my time allows to identify locations on postcards where it
isn't marked, but I'm not always 100% sure unless I know the area well.
If you have any questions, or if my findings (or the info printed on the
item) are incorrect, please contact me prior to placing a bid. Thank
you.
