this is a circa 1860s quarter-plate cased imaged ~ a glass-covered ruby ambrotype of an outdoor group portrait - location unknown

 ~ it is cased inside a PATRIOTIC-THEMED VG condition thermoplastic case: Berg 1-188 (R) - known as the Union & Constitution but without those words on the banner ~ inside back has Littlefield Parsons info, designs of 1856 & 1857


IN VERY GOOD condition; the mat has been slightly-but-noticeably trimmed at inside right side; sometimes the case needs "help" getting it opened; small white dots (pictured) on one part of case' exterior underside; noticeable oval bubble on the glass surface
