Bought from a small auction house 10 years ago.  The stamp underneath, 大中瓷厂出品， CHINA,  indicated that it was hand made during 1945-1955 in China.  At that time, the Celadon glaze was not used on the figurines often, so this was rare.  The figurine represents 蓝采和 , one of the eight immortals that famous in Chinese folk tales, who helps people with hardship, and brings happiness to them.  The figurine is big, about 13" tall, and 4.5 " long and 3.25" wide, weight, 1 lb 12 oz.

A nice big figurine to have or to give, is a collectible!
