Q. I left my unused lighter unattended and recently decided to use it, so I filled it with gas, but it did not ignite at all. Is it possible to repair it?

If a lighter is left with gas in it, the packing that adjusts the gas flow will age, and gas will no longer flow out.

O-rings can also deteriorate and cause gas leaks.

When storing a gas lighter for a long period of time, please remove all gas from the lighter before storing it.

If you have a flint-type lighter, do not forget to remove the stone as well.

If you hear a sizzling sound, the gas is leaking, so do not use fire in the vicinity of the lighter and never ignite it.
