A great hand colored postcard from Virginia titled Pool of Narcissus. The card features the image of the Pool of Narcissus, located in the Endless Caverns, New Market, VA. The pool name is taken from Narcissus, a figure from Greek mythology who was so impossibly handsome that he fell in love with his own image reflected in a pool of water. In this pool, however, tourists and visitors can expect to see the amazing stalactites and stalagmites which display their beautiful coloring. The card was published by the Albertype Co., Brooklyn, N.Y. The card measures 3 1/2 " by 5 1/2", and has not been postmarked.
