This had a full 3 year restoration.
It has been gone through and shaken down since the build. Has about 250 miles on it. Drives straight no death wobble (had the frame strengthened by the power steering box) common issue that has been corrected. One of the cleanest squarebodys you will find in the country. This was built for my wife we had zero intentions of selling. But here we are. Car was stripped and repainted through out. Interior is totally custom from the bed panels to the seats, very subtle changes wanted to maintain the factory look. All work was done professionally by Jacktuned, Northeast Autoworks and Rogue street performance. All body work was done by Aplus Auto body here in windham me. Over 300 hours in the body work alone, for those who know what it takes to make a squarebody very straight for a show quality paint job its alot. The Interior was completely gone through and new. Then seats are completely custom upholstery D&L upholstery brought the seats down to wire. Remade custom seat foams to match the factory patterns and wrapped in BMW factory leather NOT vinyl. The factory bed panels were remade and done with a custom pattern to match the factory aesthetic and wrapped in black. Factory stereo was replaced with a flip out head unit, speakers were added to the door panels and speakers in the back were moved to the rear of the seats.
**Powertrain**

**Exhaust**
-Flow tech Long tube headers
-Flowmaster custom 2.5” exhaust true dual exhaust 321 stainless steel pie cut with vband connections all around. built to wrap and hard mount to the inside of the frame to be visible and a custom fender exit tip. This is a one of a kind truly beautiful exhaust.
**Drivetrain**
-Rebuilt 700r4 trans and new converter
Added trans cooler with all an lines
-Rebuilt front and rear axles
**brakes/lines/body**
All new front end steering components (links, balljoints ect)
New steering column
New brakes all around
All new brakes/rotors/drums
All new steering lines
All new brake lines
All new fuel lines
All new motor mounts and body mounts.
Frame and components all covered in Eastwood black chassis paint and rust blocker
**Suspension**
-4” BDS Lift with new leaf springs and Fox 2.0 shocks
-Dual BDS FOX dual steering stabilizers
**Wheels/tires**
20x12 ultra off-road wheels
35x12.5x20 Grabber mud terrains
**Body paint**
- Over 300 HOURS of body work to make the truck show quality straight.
-All minor rust repaired.
-2 stage Spies Heckler paint job painted OEM GM silver birch.
-Removable Top painted satin black and window and door and top trim all replaced.
-Doors were replaced with GM OEM restoration grade doors (not cheapo stamping)
-Inner fenders replaced and painted gloss black
-Fender lips were coated with a undercoating and then painted silver to prevent chipping from the tires.
-Rear bumper replaced with a truck bumper to deleted trim and tuck better
-Front bumper new
-Rear trim panel replaced with OEM straight piece and painted Chevrolet letters black
-Front grill replaced and center strip emblem painted black.
-All rubber trim replaced with new throughout.
**Interior**
Blue interior converted to black.
-New black headliner
-New black carpets
-OEM plastics painted black
-New brothers truck black dash not plastic this is molded and like factory
-New door pockets trim and handles
-Factory dash Painted to match truck exterior color
-Dynamatt through entire truck floor and sides for sound deadening
-Seats - Custom BMW saddle color leather
-Custom bedside panels wrapped in black leather
- Front seat belts replaced with black ones with new GM clasps.
**Electronics**
-Kenwood in dash single din flip out screen.
-Kenwood Excelleron speakers all around

Kenwood Excelleron 6.5" in doors (were cut and added to the doors)

The Good
No wobble Steering Wobble like most k5's (frame was strengthened by steering box
Runs and Drives great no issues shifting and starts right up, runs well.
All lights and electronics function no gremlins to sort.
All powertrain and driveline rebuilt wanted a reliable car for my wife to drive.
Paint is near perfect on one pen tip sized chip ZERO dents or scratches.
The Bad
Has a crack in the rear passenger window
Small leak on master cylinder no noticeable issue from it just want to over disclose
Small chip in paint on Drivers fender lip (son opened car door on it, chip is the size of a pen tip)
Missing the small interior piece that goes over the filler neck on the rear bed.
Rear seat belts are the factory oem units. still functions just not brand new and fabric is blue color
Rear bumper filler panel not installed doesn't fit the c10 style bumper, Brand new painted unit will come with the truck.
Tires are 35% and rear drivers side tire has a wear mark on the sidewall from a tire tub on my trailer the last time i towed it.
The truck is not perfect its still 40 years old, but this is a great example of a extremely nice weekend cruiser. I have pictures of the truck throughout the entire build and paint job that I can send on request.
