Dodie Gibbons notices details, documenting the ordinary events we sometimes forget to cherish. A mother who grew up with her children  she began by staring straight into the eye of the unknown and went there anyway.  "Reliable as high tide", her poems are a photo album of all families who strive past mere survival to arrive at joy. This poet successfully narrates the life she lives.

Home to Dodie Gibbons was Wellsville, New York, and it was there she first began writing poems.
