First things first, I'm officially a Peet Geek now. That's big news! This pipe was brought to this year's meeting because it's a rare 337 shape with thick unfiltered tenon with a tube stinger. No longer in production, this example dates probably from 1950s or 60s. Old school medium range briar with few tiny factory fills on it, "Kildare" series. Look at that beautiful, dense grain on it. You know, if you compare its cost when it came out and today's equivalent, it's apples and oranges. It's so beautiful to look and hold! Smaller size pipe with muscular shank and saddle part, maybe a bit too strong for this size but somehow it works awesome. P-lip, all standard there. Barely used, in fantastic condition.
Do appreciate the amount of work that went into restoring this pipe as close as possible to its original condition. Meticulously cleaned, with fresh coating applied to the chamber for additional protection.
