This is a Stunning and Rare piece of Art Nouveau British Gold and Gemstone Jewellery. Made in 9ct Gold it is an Openwork Lavalier Heart Pendant featuring an Old Cut Round Amethyst to the Centre with 6 Round Graduated Seed Pearls above it and an Unsoldered Bail at the top so it can go on a Chain. All of the Pendant is made in Rose Gold apart from the Small Sections Containing the Seed Pearls and the Drop at the bottom which are made in Yellow Gold although the Drop could be an addition/replacement. As is usual with Jewellery of this Period it is Simply Hallmarked as photographed on the back with 9KT for the Gold Purity and it has been electronically tested at a precious metal refinery to confirm the Gold Content. It weighs 2.3g, measures 53mm long including the Bail x 25mm wide, the Amethyst measures 5mm diameter and the Largest Seed Pearls measure 1.5mm diameter. The Pendant is in a used and good condition for its age with just some minor surface wear and no damage apart from a tiny dent to the back of the Yellow Gold Drop which I don't believe detracts at all with its size and location. I have made the decision not to give this piece a deep clean so it does not lose the lovely patina it has developed with age so you can choose to clean/polish the Pendant if required. The box in the photos is for display purposes only and is not the one the item will be sent out in.
