Here's a very interesting pipe. I brought it to this year's Chicago pipe show and presented it as a unique piece. So many people were delighted to see it, I even talked to one guy who was familiar with this model (and Hurricane models similar to this one), and we came to a conclusion that someday, this design will be popular again and we'll see this sort of pipe produced as new. Let's wait and see who gets it first lol. So, the idea behind it is a perfectly fitting cap that covers the bowl and protect leaf and ashes from wind and outside influence. Named "Auto-Sport", bearing the 1305 shape number stamp. It's a 3/4 Bent shape, classic and simple. Stain is jet black in smooth finish. It almost looks like a dress style pipe but instead of silver, you'll find a white acrylic band mounted on vulcanite stem. Pipe is unfiltered with a twist metal stinger. Barely used, smoked maybe a couple of times. If you like rare vintage finds in great shape or just looking for something to bring on a hike, fishing or hunting trip, this one is a must have.
Do appreciate the amount of work that went into restoring this pipe as close as possible to its original condition. Meticulously cleaned, in this case no coating was applied to the chamber since pipe was barely used.
