These 49mm UV/IR Cut filters are designed to fit on the front of the lens to replace the same filter removed from the sensor on Full Spectrum/IR Converted Cameras. It allows the converted camera to be used as a conventional camera by blocking the invisible UV/IR wavelengths which would otherwise cause undesirable effects in regular photography.
With one of these fitted to your lens at all times, you just have to swap it for your desired IR filter for infrared shots.
If you are looking at these, you probably already know that!
These are clear when you look straight through them. The blue tint is only the angle of light refraction when photographing the product. From another angle they can have a pink tint.
