This is great for any player and perfect for young kids to teach them the correct way to swing the bat and develop muscle memory. Have them swing with this before they even pick up a bat. It corrects bad habits players develop like casting by keeping your hands inside when swinging. You hit foam balls or plastic balls. We have also used tennis balls and they work fine.
