Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by!
Being sold as a collectable, this listing is for a vintage circa 1932 rare colored brown Kodak Six-16 film folding camera.
The Kodak Six-16 is a folding cameras of the same design that take size 616 roll of film. The art deco design touches are their distinguishing feature. The camera body and lens surrounds feature angular shapes, which differ from other folding cameras of the era whose bodies generally were rounded at the ends.
The Six-16 uses a 126mm f/6.3 Kodak Anistigmat lens.
The camera has two viewfinders. The first is a small “brilliant” type attached to the lens assembly that swivels to frame portrait and landscape photos. The second is a gunsight type attached to the camera body. Camera as an octagonal shaped film winder.
Camera body shows well given it’s age. There’s still a glossy enamel brown finish with some minor paint wear on the edges and on the inside of the camera lid. The bellows are perfect. The camera opens and closes perfectly. The lens diaphragm slider works. Lens and viewfinders are cloudy. I was able to adjust the aperture, focus ring, shutter speed dial and click the shutter button.
It’s a great collector’s piece! Please give it a nice home!
