This spectacular tulle cupcake dress in a modern medium or large dates to the 1950s or 60s. The top layer of black tulle features flocked black polka dots and embroidered pink flowers. An under layer of green tulle followed by a black satin lining offers a vampy pop of color.

A lot tag is present as well as a back lapped zipper with metal teeth. Thin spaghetti straps, a fitted top, self-piping at the waist, full skirts, and crinoline along the hem of the outer layer of tulle complete the look.

I believe that this dress would best fit a modern large or some mediums, but please refer to the approximate flat lay measurements below.

Pit to pit: 20in

Waist: 15in

Hips: app. 24in

Length: app. 45in

This dress is in great vintage condition! The minor issues that I found are not very noticeable and shouldn’t greatly impact appearance.

I did find a tear in the front of the top tulle layer of the skirt near the top as well as a small portion of the hem where the crinoline has torn away, but I believe these areas blend in with the voluminous amounts of tulle and are difficult to notice when worn. Both issues should be fine left as-is with gentle wear as long as the tears are not pulled on.

There are some varying amounts of wear to the flocked polka dots (as well as some occasional lint), some deodorant marks to the inside underarms (and possibly very faintly to the outside), wear or small (stable) pinholes on one area of an inside underarm facing, and a vintage/storage scent (but I don’t believe it to be overwhelmingly unpleasant).

There are also some creases and texture to the lining, and while it hasn’t undergone a full color change so far, I can see some reddish undertones. However, due to the layers of tulle, I don’t believe that it negatively affects appearance.

PLEASE NOTE: Several pictures are shown for reference, but not every issue is pictured. I try to be thorough in my listings and believe that most issues are described. However, it is possible that I may have missed some minor ones.
