This scanner is SUPER FAST and reads all normal barcodes (EAN,code 39,code 128 etc...) plus 2D codes such as Datamatrix and QR code (see pictures). It reads on all surfaces including phone and LCD screens. The scanner does not need to be lined up with the code, it reads from any direction. Use the scanner manually by pressing the trigger, or simply place it in the stand for instant conversion to an automatic hands-free scanner that reads codes instantly when they are presented to it from any angle.
