AMIEUX FRERES GOOD BROTHERS FRENCH FAIENCE SARDINE ADVERTISING PLATE

is a late 19th early 20th century French faience (glazed ceramic ware) sardine advertising plate by the Amieux Freres (Good Brothers). Decorated with four hand painted and applied L shaped sardines around the French inscription.
The border with transfer and hand painted decoration of some children playing, a lighthouse and a boat for catching sardines. Printed on the back with a list of items that can be put with sardines and a facsimile signature of Amieux Freres. Dates around 1890 to 1910.

Dimensions: The plate measures 9 1/8 inches in diameter. Weighs 497 g before packing.

Condition: There is some staining on the back of the plate, which I've tried to clean, but couldn't get much off. There appears to be paint missing around the rim, but that is not a chip, it runs smooth under your finger. Otherwise in good condition.

The photos are of the actual item being sold. On items over $50.00, I require tracking on shipping.
