Adorable vintage vaseline glass “Sonny the Gorilla” by Boyd’s Crystal Art Glass. The color is Vaseline - #1 in the series, made on 5/25/94. Uranium in the glass makes it look greener in natural daylight, and as you can see it is strongly UV reactive and glows very brightly under ultraviolet light. It has amazing detail which really “pops”under a black light!

This piece is genuine Boyd Glass, marked with Boyd’s B in a diamond mark and 3 lines denoting the 4th 5 years of their business. When Boyd Glass closed their business, the Boyd mark was removed and the moulds were sold. Brand new reproductions made from the unmarked moulds are frequently found online. I sell only authentic, marked Boyd Glass - you can see the mark in the last photo.

This gorilla measures approximately 2.5” high . This piece is in excellent used condition with no chips or cracks.
