This sale is for 2nd of 2 identical duos plus spare saucer I have in this pattern, see separate listing for 1st duo (seen in last photo).
Antique Minton bone china tea cup, saucer and also a spare saucer (cracked).
Pattern number g515 is hand painted on the underside of each item and the saucers have the impressed Minton mark.
Richly decorated in a rich, wide band of gold which is pattern etched and edged with pink enamel bands.
Probably mid-Victorian, dates to around 1850 to 1870.
Condition:
The cup has a 1cm crack from the rim, seen inside the cup, less so from the outer side.
The cup handle has an off-white creamy colour which doesn't match the white cup body.
The cup has a few tiny specs of clay imperfections from the manufacture.
All gold bands are intact, with only minimal wear visible on very enclose inspection.
The gilding to all rims of the 3 items show some wear through age / use, though still fairly good.
The one saucer has a good 'ring to it when tapped, some minor losses the gold spot edge decoration.
The second saucer has an obvious dark crack in the centre.
Please refer to all photos which form a larger part of the description.
