A beautiful pair of volumes containing the original first edition pages of Our Mutual Friend Volumes 1 & 2. These have been rebound in amazing dark green by Antiquarian Bookcrafts, Dublin. Both volumes are missing the half titles (seemingly a preference of the original owner and consistent with some other vintage Dickens rebindings).

In terms of condition, the books are excellent - tightly bound, with only minor sporadic foxing. All illustrations are present. Binding is near fine, with only very very minor handling issues.

Overall excellent condition. A rarity to find Dickens novels in this condition.

I have performed all the necessary first edition checks (using Walter E. Smith's bibliographical catalogue (see photo 17). I have also evidenced some of the first edition errata (see photos 13-16 for typos, missing quotation marks, missing dots etc.).

Note: all books are delivered in bubble wrap and high quality brown paper for protection - postage cost slightly higher than standard courier costs to absorb this extra expense: I hope you understand.
