This listing is for a charming, clear glass apothecary leech pot, jar or bowl with an inverted rim, dating back to the Victorian era, around 1880s.

This pedestal bowl has been made of hand blown clear glass, and beautifully finished off in yellow coloured glass around the rim.  It is very likely that the yellow coloured rim is made of uranium glass but my ultra violet lamp stopped working so I cannot check it for sure.

The bowl is in great antique condition but it has a very small chip underneath the inverted fluted rim.  It can be felt rather than seen and I will add the photos at the beginning of May.

As in any Victorian glass object, there are clear striations in the glas, little air bubbles and some impurities.

DIMENSIONS:

Height: 9.8cm (3 7/8”)

Dia. across the rim:  6.3cm (2 1/2”)

This rare leech bowl would make an amazing addition to any collection of apothecary or scientific items.
