This antique lighting fixture is a recent estate sale find. At the time the chandelier was dingy, had cracked and unsafe wiring, and was unsightly. The decision was made to perform a complete restoration on the lamp.
That process included:
Complete disassembly
Hand brushing and sanding of the metal parts
Painting and sealing of the parts
Rewiring using new cloth covered wiring to match the original
Replacement of all drip candle covers
Reassembly
Testing
This chandelier is about 17" in diameter. As currently configured this lamp has an installed drop of about 38-1/2". This can be reduced with the removal of links of its 17" chain. The ceiling canopy is about 5-7/8" in diameter.
The main body of the lamp is made of iron castings. All of the metal parts are free of cracks, chips, and missing sections.
The installation hardware shown in the photos are included in this listing making this chandelier ready to install.
The light bulbs seen in the photos are for illustrative purposes and are not included in this listing.
All antique, vintage, and previously used lighting fixtures should be inspected and installed by a qualified electrician.
