This groovy purple knit maxi dress with sequins most likely dates to the 60s or 70s. The dress features a period CC zipper with nylon teeth and the materials and construction are consistent with the era.

This dress appears to have been used in a theatrical production and has an additional tag sewn on, and the original hem looks as though it was dropped and re-hemmed.

Based on these factors, I believe that this is most likely an original dress from the 60s or 70s; however, it is possible that it could be a well-done reproduction.

I believe that this dress would best fit a modern large, but please refer to the flat lay measurements below:

Pit to pit: 19in to app. 21.5in

Waist: app. 15in to 16in

Hips: app. 24.5in to 27in

Length: app. 57in

This dress is in gently used vintage condition! There are some areas of iron shine, some occasional damage and peeling to the sequins, the inside of the skirt has small pulls where the hem was let out, there are some popped seams on the arm facings (but they shouldn’t affect wear) and a small stretched/indented area of the back skirt. I also mended some popped seams throughout the dress.

Please note: several pictures are shown for reference, but not every issue is pictured. I try to be thorough in my listings and believe that most issues are described. However, it is possible that I may have missed some minor ones.
