This is an original press photo. Tampa, Fla. - A recent influx of jet fighter and photo-reconnaissance aircraft is shown in this aerial photograph of MacDill Air Force Base by Tampa Times photographer Dick Mooney. More than a score of RF-101 "Voodoo" jets, capable of 1,200 miles an hour, have been based at the field. Numerous convoys of ammunition also have been noticed moving to the military installation. Extra Air Force personnel are being billeted at a downtown Tampa hotel. Photo measures 8 x 10.25inches. Photo is dated 10-23-1962.
