The Platter Bearing is where the spindle sits in position, and the strongly reduced friction around this area helps a record-player spin consistently. Most Pro-Ject Bearings are Teflon-lined for optimum, long-lasting performance. If your platter seems to be running slowly, it may be time to change your bearing.
