Description: Victorian Trade Card - LION COFFEE, Woolson Spice Co., Toledo, Ohio

Very pretty card featuring a couple of large pink flowers above a small scenic view with the outline of what appears to be a church set on rolling hills.

The back explains how a portrait shape can be cut from the card forming a "Shadow Picture" of "Queen Victoria", which can be projected on a wall with the use of a lamp or gas jet. It states that there were 20 different shadow pictures in the set, although the card doesn't appear to be numbered.

Size: approx. 5.125" x 4.25"
Copyright date: 1895 Lithographer: Gast Lith. Co., New York & Chicago
Condition: Very good, I'd say. The card is lightly soiled, with slightly worn edges and corners. There are small creases across three of the corners and several mild thumb bends along the top and left edges. (Please see scans.)
